Metafire

The Discovery crew numbered eight.

The takeover was quick and effective. It merely took simultaneous signals from George and Andrei. The various pins and rings were held to the crew's throats, and the men told not to move.

The crew was restrained with nylon ties around the hands and then around the tethering hooks that were arranged around the Discovery for holding gear. George got back to his console and attempted to communicate with Metafire Two, but there was no response on the Internet.

George came out to the group, "We will remain quiet. Silence is our safety. We can't join with Metafire Two while inside the Discovery's bay. But then, we can't properly join without a tug to oversee the procedure, and I doubt there is going to be a friendly tug."

Platon spoke up, "We have a supply capsule already aloft. It is equipped to act as a tug. If we can move our capsule out of the Discovery bay, we can radio the capsule remotely."

George said, "Yes, we have a similar capsule. We can do the same. That would give us two tugs. The key is to get out soon, before our supplies run out, and to move quickly before the authorities can stop us."
