Metafire

When the opportunity to move into space became real, Andrei had led the Whitefire group into it. Andrei wanted to be near the Metafire people and the remaining two devices. Perhaps he could stop another 'accident'. He reasoned that the real culprit was dead or, if not, would show himself.

Andrei had a ring with two folded down needles. The Ukranians had also concluded that drugs were superior to guns. One needle could kill a person in fifteen seconds. A second one could knock a person out in ten. Indeed, all the Ukrainians were equipped with paralyzing and killing agents that could be administered with various piercing devices.

George said, "We are in danger, Andrei. I suggest we immediately take over the Discovery Shuttle. I can direct my people to act immediately. Can you do the same with your people?"

Andrei responded, "Yes, we should go. We rush the Discovery personnel in five minutes?"

"Yes, that's good, at exactly 3:30. OK?"

"Yes." Andrei left the Metafire One capsule with George. Each whispered instructions which were whispered along.
