Kennedy Winfield, one of the Metafire people, asked, "Should we take a hostage from the Discovery?"

George responded, "Yes, Kennedy, we should take two. This is unfortunate. But the remainder of the crew will be able to go free."

"But how can we free them without endangering ourselves?" Kennedy was concerned about them preventing the launch of the new colony from the Discovery bay.

George thought for a moment, then said, "We will have to leave someone behind. That person will operate the Discovery. He may be able to hold out, but he must be prepared to sacrifice himself."

Michael Yatchiv, the handsome guy, then had an idea, "We should split up, into two groups. This would be better. We control both Discovery and the new colony. The Discovery can also provide us with capability. This also provides hostages on board both space ships."

George now knew exactly what to do, "Yes, we can use the hostages to control the situation. There are enough of us. This will also force the NSP to continue our supplies. We should also be able to force the FBI away from Metafire Two."
