"Pretty well. We have characterized all the systems now. We are just getting additional data and trying to get a feeling for how well built these things are. We have six carbon dioxide scrubbers on the colony and five water purifiers, not to mention four showers, two clothes washers, three kitchens. The list goes on, George. We think we can triple the overall efficiency using a variety of techniques. If we get started now, we might get a few years! But it's going to take some rebuilding."

George thought to himself that at least these two were getting along well. "Well, when do you think you can have a specific proposal finished?"

Andrei spoke up, "Tomorrow we will propose some specific actions to take immediately, I think. It will be a month before we can finalize all the plans."

"Good. Tonight the group will discuss how to handle the killer satellite."

A solution was obvious to Jane. She said, "Why don't we just rebuild another wall and cut away the satellite with the old wall?"

"What?" George realized she must know something he didn't.
