"I'll report to the President." the Major said. "I'll tell him there appears to be no immediate danger. We will hold the status quo for now, until we can see how to gain advantage. I want to put a killer satellite on Bluebird, though. Just in case we have to blow the bomb quickly away from New Boston!"

"Work with Jim Edenfield on that. The other guys are likely to get pretty nervous."

Then Franklin said, "That might save a handful of lives, but not many. If there is a nuclear bomb in Bluebird, and it explodes, it will take out everything in a ten mile radius. That's most all of New Boston."

"Yes," Jill had to say it, "and half the Earth will see the explosion."

They broke away and everybody went home leaving only their backup staff in the situation room. It wasn't until Sunday afternoon that the Major was called back to the White House.
