"Yes. What was the name you used when you logged in?"

"Erisa's name, erisa-m at aol dot com." He paused and said, "I know where you are going."

"I suspect Metafire tracked down Erisa. You can be certain they know that Erisa McCabe, in Houston, an employee of NSP, gained entry through her home Aol connection. We checked out her name. Her information is public."

"Boy, if they did anything, they did it fast."

"We have no idea who these people are. We have agents checking out Metafire in Sante Fe. In fact, they should have been there already." Of course, Jack, this could be something completely different. Something else may have happened to Erisa. You don't know her that well. She could just have taken off. Maybe she is escaping from the pressures of the NSP. We don't know what happened during the last day she was at work. I should have an agent's report on that one soon. " Ferguson was pretty sure Jack was going to get his clearance. In any event, Jack was not really at fault here. Everybody in security makes a first mistake. It is important not to make a second.

"By the way, Jack. You know that this was a mistake you made, right?"
