"Nope, there is no information on them. They are probably using network aliases," came the response.
"Well, try erisa 'm' at Aol dot com, that's E-R-I-S-A M."
"OK."
And he walked back calmly and slowly to his office.
Back in Houston, it dawned on Jack that the FBI might be monitoring the phone. But how would they know he was staying with Erisa? Then he realized he had better tell them. No reason to get this security clearance thing messed up. He shut down the MacIntosh, picked up the phone and called Jill.
"3829," was Jill's introduction.
"Hi, it's me, Jack. It occurred to me that the Major might need to know that I have been staying over with a friend lately. I'm not at the address I gave him. I think I might be around here all week and next."
"Yep, I suspect it would have delayed things, if people were finding you missing, Jack. But we already knew where you were. The officer that drove you the other day told us."
