Jack and Jill left. The Major walked down to the Director's office.

"May I see the Director for a moment?"

A few moments later, he was standing in front of the Director.

"I'm afraid we are going to have to classify this operation, sir. Seal the building. I should have a team in this afternoon."

He pulled out his letter of authorization. Signed by the President.

Chapter 8 Breakthrough

Jack had a hard time getting Erisa's home phone number, and, when he did, he had a Lieutenant on a speakerphone with her. It was already seven, and she had been wondering all day how he was and it was getting late.

"I don't think I'm going to get there tonight, but everything is OK," he said. "I just got held up with some security things."

The Lieutenant was passive. Erisa asked, "Tomorrow is Saturday. Are you going to be back, or do you know?"
