Erisa was at her terminal with Jack when she asked John, "John, Scooter has been inching away from New Boston. Do you think we can figure out how fast we could move away from New Boston?"

"I can contact planning."

Then Jack lit up, "I have another idea. Why can't we move New Boston away from Bluebird?"

Adamson responded, "Well, that's possible, I guess. It would certainly be a logistical nightmare. Erisa, are you in job preservation mode or something?"

"Com'on John."

"I'll get back to you on it."

Adamson immediately contacted Ferguson, and they arranged for an NSP planning team to be in touch with Franklin and Jill. It only took about three hours to come up with the parameters.

Adamson contacted Erisa. "You can move about a hundred feet a day without being detected by the Metafire colony. New Boston can do the same. We can reprogram all attitude thrusters and positional adjustments on all vehicles from Earth. The cost in fuel will be small, and it can be handled logistically."
