Angela said, "Are you willing to bet your life on it, Platon?"

"I would."

George didn't want this to cave into an argument, he said, "We can ask the FBI. I have to tell them that we will open ourselves to communicating with some customers. I have the list. They are U.S. and Russian government customers. Mainly the spooks. CIA and guys like that.

"I can tell the FBI we are moving strong electro-magnetic fields in the area of the killer satellite and ask them if that's a problem. They are not very bright. My experience is that they may fall for it and tell us the truth."

Janet said, "I'll buy it."

George always liked it when his wife concurred. He concluded, "OK. We should all get rest now. I will talk to the FBI tomorrow. If there appear to be no problems, we'll take Metafire Two out tomorrow for a spin and proceed with Jane and Andrei's plan. I'll talk to Sporkin again about decoding the radio beacon to the satellite." George figured that in a conversation alone with Sporkin, he could convince him to help.
