Jane replied, "Yes."

George pulled out of the old Metafire Two capsule. Frank had come to find him. Frank said, "We have a communication with Washington DC. They are willing to establish a broader-based contact with us. They say they have certain government groups that want software support from us. It would be welcome George. We are all going stir crazy without contact with our customers."

"Is Angela still in communications?" George wanted to make sure she was the one talking with Washington.

"Yes."

"Let's go." They both moved into the Metafire One capsule that served as the central communications facility.

When they arrived, Angela said into the terminal, "John, George is here. You can make your proposal again."

The colony was now over seventy five thousand miles out. It took a few seconds for a response.

John started brightly, "Your customers are really loyal there, George! We have some government customers that would like to have service. I propose you open your computer network, let people email and communicate with your people, and we will remove the firewall that we have set up that blocks you. Well, we'll move the firewall back a bit. We can give you access to about twenty of your customers and interested parties." Jill had had the idea a couple of days before. With a slight opening of the network door, they might be able to gain access to individuals inside of Metafire, without having to fear that George would find out what was being said. Erisa had mentioned Jane as a person she could talk to.
