Then Andrei pushed in the aluminum box. It was a narrow fit through the hatch. He entered the capsule with a roll of tape. "Jack, I am taping this down so it won't bounce around. With that tug pilot of yours, this is probably a good idea. We don't know whether it is still activated, so don't touch it, OK?"

Jack said, "sure."

Andrei moved out of the capsule, and Randy moved in. Then Angela arrived with Steven's body. It was wrapped in nylon and sealed in a plastic wrap. "I've basically freeze dried him in our clothes dryer, Randy." Randy could only think, 'vampires.' As Randy was closing his hatch, he said, "I can't wish you people well. In fact, go to hell."

Then there was a clank and the entire colony shimmered. Scooter had attached hard to the other end of Bluebird. Bluebird detached from the colony and moved away quickly, in Scooter's tow.

George, at the communications console, said to John, "Transfer completed. Your hostages are returned to you. We are initiating a first burn to escape from New Boston immediately. Do you have any problems with that?"
