It was on Tuesday that Steven told Erisa that Jack was on the FBI tug. "We were told to rescue you."

But Erisa didn't like Steven's manner. He was a killer, a soldier. She didn't trust him. So she thanked him and confirmed that Jack was OK when Steven last saw him.

That evening Erisa realized that her note to USA Today had been the wrong note. She hadn't told Wendy about the bombs! Now, after the FBI attack, it was impossible to get a message out. She was being too closely watched.

She thought about telling Randy and Steven that she was the one that got the message to USA Today and that, perhaps, they could reveal the bombs to the FBI. But then, what would the FBI do? They would probably kill everybody and just go for broke. All it took was one more guy like Steven.

But she wanted to live now. She wanted to get back to Jack. She realized that she was now protecting Metafire. She wanted to live. She remembered how worry was a waste of imagination. How could she not tell about the bombs, get back to Jack, get justice done to Metafire, and live. For the first time in her life, she started to look for a plan.
