"After you have gone, then. George, after you are well on your way, we'll let him prove it. They are all in jail right now. We won't let them out until you are gone."
"We won't fight you on that." George looked up at Angela. She had a tear in her eye. He looked over at Marie and Andrei, who had also come over. They, also, were visibly saddened. With all his effort, he reiterated the agreement he had made with Dr. O'Leary, "We won't fight you on that. Dick knew what he was doing when he stayed. He knew this was going to happen. He decided to let it happen this way. So we agree, John, we agree." By now, George was starting to choke up. Richard O'Leary was the mainstay of Metafire. He was the person that kept people together. George was a captain. He was simply a follower of Stan Firestone and Dick O'Leary.
"I'll contact you tomorrow. The supplies should start being moved in during the rest of this week. Our tug has to get them and deliver them to you. I'll let you know how the negotiations with the Russians are going."
"All right. Tomorrow, then." George disconnected. He looked over to Andrei, "What are you doing here! Go over, back to the bombs. We have to finish the power supply. I must know the condition of the other bomb!"
