Metafire

Once out past the capsule part and in the actual cavern, Dave and Jane pushed themselves off for a fly. They bounced gently around, stretching and playing a bit. Randy and Erisa were similarly impressed and also found themselves flying around in the cavern, basically enjoying themselves. As they bounced against the sides, Scooter could spot the temporary bumbs in the sharp sunlight.

James Sporkin and Beth Gilliano were the next into the cavern. Now there were six people bouncing about. Sporkin was immediately running little experiments. He found a handerchief in his pocket and spun it out across the room and watched as the handerchief slowed and got twisted in its own dynamics and the kinetics of the ambient air flows. Beth, quiet as always, was holding a nylon sheet to explore other reactions. She had already noticed the problem with the cavern. There were no windows. The light was diffused sunlight.

"It's going to be dark soon," Beth noted, "They are supposed to have provisions packed away for superbright white LED lamps."

"Damn, OK." Sporkin didn't want to be bothered but he was the assigned facilities person.

Back in the Metafire Two capsule Frank radioed Scooter, "All systems seem to check out. I would ask that you stabilize us after those explosive bolts and all the knocking around. We seem to be spinning a bit fast. But, can you do it delicately? Please?"
