Wendy Peebles was guarded in her first conversation with Erisa, "I've got the job of operating this software of yours. I've tried it out in a couple of places, but I don't understand some of the things that it does."

"Go ahead." Erisa's eyes were on Jane. Jane was smiling.

"Well, it has a setting for the date of archive. The dates prior to today are sometimes in blue and sometimes in black. But they are mixed up. The black ones don't work. The blue ones do."

Jane nodded. Erisa said, "Yes."

"Is there any way I can get a black date to pick up an archive. My boss wants an archive for a group on an exact date."

Jane whispered, "Tell her that that is not possible. The archive will not be complete. The most complete archive will be the dates just before and after. Get both."

"OK," whispered Erisa. Then she said out loud. "I'm really sorry, but this is the best software for doing this in the world. If it says you can't, you can't. But if you take the first dates before and after the date you want, you can get the next best thing. I would guess you could also look and see if there are any differences." Erisa saw Jane nod again.
