Pete touched Erisa above her knee, "This is not getting anywhere. I wonder if this is why Congress can't get the gumption to fund men in space?"

Her hand met his, "I guess. I wonder if there is another way. Maybe it can't be a leader that gets us into space. At least not for a long time. Maybe we need to establish a whole different concept."

"Well, there's business, but business is conservative and secretive. There's entertainment. You know, travel. It could be like a Carnival Cruise." Pete moved his other hand under the table and between her legs. "Maybe that would work."

"It's just too expensive and too dangerous for that. Do you want to go?" Inside, she was hoping that tonight, Pete, would talk about marriage. With her job now lost, this would be a fitting continuation of her life.

Pete pulled his hands away. He liked talking with Erisa. Her voice was always friendly and engaging. He looked at her. "No, lets talk a bit more. I want to know how to help getting off the planet as soon as possible. I really like your motto. And you said 'worry is a waste of imagination?'"

"Yea," she responded. She liked him a lot. He liked to think.
